The story of SPLA school didn’t begin in a boardroom; it began in the vibrant, fast-paced classrooms of America’s top local universities. For decades, Dr. Caroline Adams  observed a recurring challenge in higher education: while traditional academic programs excelled at teaching complex grammar rules, they often left students hesitant, anxious, and unprepared to hold a real, spontaneous conversation in the outside world.

Dr. Adams wasn’t just any educator. With a Ph.D. in Education and over 30 years of elite experience in language pedagogy, her life had been defined by the beauty of communication. As a true polyglot, Helen mastered five languages—English, Spanish, French, German, and Japanese—giving her a profound, firsthand understanding of how the human brain truly internalizes a new tongue. She knew that mastering a language required more than just memorization; it required confidence, community, and immersion.

Driven by the vision of creating a dynamic space where language acquisition felt organic and empowering, Dr. Adams decided to bridge the gap between academic rigor and practical fluency.

2018: A New Era in Language Learning

In 2018, that vision became a reality. Dr. Adams officially founded SPLA school, pioneering a unique methodology designed specifically for modern learners. She broke down the rigid walls of traditional classrooms and introduced a revolutionary approach centered around two core pillars: highly intimate, small group dynamics and tailored private lessons.

From day one, SPLA was designed to feel different. Caroline curated an environment where students didn't just study Spanish—they lived it. By combining her massive depth of pedagogical expertise with a warm, supportive atmosphere, she created a space where making a mistake was simply seen as a milestone toward fluency.
