Admission Profile:
This profile is aimed at individuals who already speak Spanish fluently but are looking for refinement. Their goal is to master linguistic nuances, local idioms, complex argumentation, and flawless academic or professional writing.
Prior Knowledge: Ability to understand a wide variety of demanding, longer texts and recognize implicit meanings (irony, double entendres, metaphors). They express themselves fluently and spontaneously without much obvious searching for expressions. They use the language flexibly and effectively for social, academic, and professional purposes.
Typical Motivations: Interpreters and translators, executives conducting high-level negotiations in Spanish, postgraduate students at Spanish-speaking universities, or language enthusiasts aiming for native-like bilingual proficiency.
Skills to Assess at Entry: Comprehension of extended speech even when not clearly structured, production of complex and well-organized texts, and the ability to debate with solid arguments on abstract or technical topics.
Learning outcomes:
By the end of this level, students will speak with high precision, easily navigating subtle cultural, professional, and academic contexts.
Linguistic Competence: Master complex grammatical structures, advanced subjunctive tenses, and stylistic devices. Produce well-structured, cohesive essays, reports, or presentations on complex topics.
Real-World Application: Negotiate high-level business deals, understand implicit meanings (irony, sarcasm, cultural subtext), and effortlessly switch between formal and informal registers.
Speaking Club Integration:
Debate controversial or deeply nuanced cultural topics with native speakers, defending a standpoint using precise argumentation.
Deconstruct regional slang, double entendres, and subtle humor, allowing them to interact not just as language learners, but as cultural peers.
